Percy Jackman was born on 1st January 1917 to Charles and Lucy Jackman.

In 1939 the family were living at 1 Rose Cottage, Lodge Road, Hurst. Percy's younger brothers Cyril and Cecil were also living there. Percy was employed as a biscuit factory general worker, most probably at Huntley & Palmer in Reading. His father Charles was a furniture removals foreman.

Percy died aged 28 on the 13th October 1945 in South Africa. He rests at the Johannesburg (West Park) Cemetery, in Gauteng.
